We have ongoing fundraisers such as Box Tops and Mabel's Labels, as well as occasional focused fundraisers.

We plan monthly events for students and their families, as well as events that include the Hartland community.

Our foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.nonprofit, dedicated to improving the Hartland-Lakeside community. We bring together the financial resources of individuals, families and businesses to support the school district, children and teachers.
December Teacher & Staff Appreciation
We’re wrapping up 2025 (literally)! We loved gifting the teachers and staff of HLSD a little extra time this season with free gift wrapping—plus a classic popcorn treat waiting in their lounges as they head into winter break.
Knights’ Care Crusade
The Hartland-Lakeside Education Foundation donated $6,000 to the Knights’ Care Crusade, bringing the total raised to $8,138 toward the $10,000 goal. The Merriest Merry Market

Vertical White Boards for 6th Grade Math
Thank you, HLEF, for your generous donation of three portable whiteboards to the 6th-grade math classroom. Research from Peter Liljedahl’s Building Thinking Classrooms shows that students who learn math through the use of Vertical Non-Permanent Surfaces experience increased engagement, richer conversations, more movement opportunities, and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
NSMS Swing Set
North Shore Middle School students are enjoying their very first swing set thanks to a grant from the HLEF! We are grateful to be able to provide another movement opportunity for our students while outdoors. Best of all: Swinging is tons of fun!
4th Grade Field Trip
All the 4th graders at Hartland South headed to the Betty Brinn Museum for a Playground Engineering field trip! Feminine Hygiene Carts
We are happy to fund a micro-grant that will provide feminine hygiene product stations in our middle school. These carts, placed in bathrooms near classrooms and the cafeteria, will help students navigate their day with greater ease and confidence.
NSMS STEM Expansion – Project Lead the Way
